Utopia

'Tax haven utopia increasingly dominates in the age of neo-liberalism. If we look closely, we can see these islands appearing within our cities, unaccountable and unchecked in any meaningful sense. Derision is directed not towards the self-proclaimed wealth-creators burgeoning in austerity, but to powerless subcultures (teenage mothers, disenfranchised workers, urban tribes of scallies, neds, spides, chavs etc.) who don’t have the good sense to have their vulgarities sanctified by wealth' (Darran Anderson, Imaginary Cities)
