Sea Sodom

I am confused. Who is pursuing whom? Venice is not the sort of place where you feel you belong and that must be the reason why we are both here in a city that is less La Serenissima and more a Sea Sodom scarred by memories of the recent epidemic, though ours is more a disease of emotional contagion.
